SEARCH PARTY SEIZES PLANE AND CLAIMS FOR SALVAGE
-By Teldprraph — Onpyright).
PERTII, Friday. Tho Junkers seaplane which the German fliers Bertram and Glausman abandoned has heen seized as salvago by a launch party searching for the missing airmen. A log hook found in the plane shows that the pair landed at 7.30 on the morning of M"ay 15, and went aloft again at 12.25, coming down tcn minutes later. Tracks of natives and children found ftear the spot are talcen as an jndication that the aborigines assistecl the men to turn the machine round, and this is now Tegarded as a re-huttal of the theory that they were nrurdered near the scene of the landing. There is still nothing, however, to indicato their fate. They had guns, and the water still in the radiator shows that they did not perish of thirst. The log hook shows that the other two occupants of the plane were dropped at various points along the route.
