ANOTHER SYDNEY SUICIDE

Rec. June 24, 7.35 p.m. SYDNEY, Friday The first woman to commit suieide from the Sydney harbour bridge, was Mrs. Elks, aged 24 years, married, who to-day jumped from the structure. She turned several somersaults in mid air and struck the water, 180 feet below side on. She was rescucd by boatmen and rushed to the hospital, where she told a pathetic story of melancholia. She died from shock, immersion and head injuries.
