THE WEATHER
The Government meteorologist Issued the * following weather report and forecast last hight:— ■* Ge'neral situation: An anticyclone is passing to the North, but a deep depression is c.rossing the south Tasman Sea, and seems to be developing into cyclonic form. Forecast: V/inds variable at first, later easterly to northerly, freshening to-morrow. Weather: Fair to fine at first, but later becoming eloudy with mist or fog in many places, rain gradually developi'ng; temperatures mild. Following are the barometer, maxlmum a'nd miriimum thermometer, and rainfall readihgs recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Toiirist Department, for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday: — Barometer 29.801ins. Thermometer (max.) 53,2deg. Thermometer (min. on grass) 32.0deg Rainfall 0.09ms.
