BABY AS WEDDING GIFT
A sleeping baby was the unusual wedding gift presented to a newly1 married couple about to leave a War- ; saw church after the marriage cereI rnony recently. As the bride and bridegroom turned to leave the altar, a woman placed a basket on the floor in front of them. Curious to see what it contained, the bride raised the paper and revealed — -a baby. Consternation reigned among the guests. Theh they found a piece of j paper pinned to the infant's pillow. iOn it was written, "Please take care of my baby; the unfortunate mother must die of hunger."
