team has rough crossing to sydney on marama

Rec. June 21, 7.15 p.m. SYDNEY; Tuesday. The Marama had a rough crossing from Wellington, and the All Blacks Rugby football team suffered considerably. At deck sports they proved .much less redouhtable than they are reputed to he at football. The majority of the other passengers also found the trip trying, and were glad to get ashore to sunshine, even though still cold. The team was weleomed offxcially by the New South Wales Rugby Union president, Mr. T. Woods. Sir Henry Braddon, addressing a few remarks of felicitation, recalled interesting reminiscences covering the period sinee the first New Zealand visit to Aus- : tralia in 1884. The manager, Mr. W. Wallace and the cap.tain and viceqaptain hriefly responded. The All Blacks indulged in practice this afternoon on the cricket ground to get the stiffness out of •f-.hp.ir limhs.
