SIX DOGS KILLED. Pig-hunting at Waitewheta, Messrs J. and G. Stace, of Waihi, secured aj veteran boar which, to their know- j ledge, had at least six dogs, including j two of their own, to its credit (says i the Te Aroha News) . Five shots from a .32 were necessary before the animal, which was very vicious, hauled down its colours. The boar, which was shot in thick bush about 200 yds off the road, was, Mr. J Stace estimated, about 7ft 9ins from the end of its snout to the tip of ittail. Its weight, he considered woula be about 4501b. k
