WESTFIELD PRICES AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Ltd., reports as follows on its Westfield sale held on Wednesday: — A large yarding of beef came forward but with no improvement in values, which were on a par with last week's quotations. We quote: — Choice ox: 16/- to 19/per hundred pounds; plain, 13/- to 15/-; cow and heifer 12/- to 18/-; heavy prime steers £6 10/- to £7 12/6; light do. £5 to £6 5/-. Sheep: Same values as for last week. Wether mutton was easier. Wethers 13/- to 15/-; light 10/6 to 12/6; ewes 61- to 9/6; lambs 9/6 to 14/-; small 5/- to 9/3. There was a large yarding of calves and values dropped. Runners £1 3/- to £2, vealers 18/- to £1 14/-. Pigs were easier but values for porkers and baconers were firm. Baconers £1 14/'- to £2 7/-; porkers 18/to £1 6/-.
