MOTHERS' LEAGUE MEETING AT METHODIST SCHOOLROOM. A meeting of the League of Mothers took place last Friday afternoon at 2.30 p.m. in the Methodist schoolroom, the president, Mrs. H. Bertram, presiding over a; good nttendanca of mothers. After devotional exercise, a very interesting address was given hy Miss Sheat, travelling secretary for the Methodist Bible Class Union, on "The Present Day Problem of Youth." The speaker particularly stressed during her lecture the great power of good or evil wrougbt hy the modern cinema. Following the leeture Mrs. A. Merriman, of the Women's Club, gave a most instructionai demonstration on the cutting-out of children's clothes from old garments. A very useful hint, these hard times! Miss Eronfeldt fave an excellent vocal numher, after which afternoon tea was served by the hostesses for the afternoon, Mesdames Kusabs, Fraer, French, and Halkett, the meeting closing with the singing of a well known hymn.
