WEDDING

, MACKAIf —LARMER An exceptionally pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Stephen's ; Church on Saturday morning, when Miss Daphne Larmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Larmer, was married to Mr. Eric MacKay. The bride entered the church on her father's -arm. She wore a dress of white crepe satin with a tight fitting bodice falling away into a full skirt of ankle length. Her veil of full length, was of white tulle with a spray of orange blossom arid a halo effect in tulle. The two bridesmaids, Miss Connie, Larmer and Miss Ena Gordon, were in electric blr.e crepe satin with smart blue felt hats in the new bowler style. The mother of the bride wore a very smart black satin beaute frock, black felt hat, and fur coat. Miss A. Larmer, aunt of the bride, wore a navy crepe de chene frock, navy face cloth coat, and black hat. The bride carried a most charming and unusual bouquet — -a half hoop of white roses and camelias from which was susperided a white satin horse shoe. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of pink and blue flowers. Mrs. H. Larmer carried a very pretty bouquet of small pink and yellow roses. Miss A. Larmer carried an unusual bouquet of violet and blue flowers arranged in a star shape. After the service, which was conducted by the Rev. N. F. Benham, the guests assembled in the Farmer's rooms for the wedding breakfast, The tables were arranged in a T shape and were brightly and tastefully decdrated. A very delightful breakfast was served. The wedding cake was of three tiers, the bottom one decorated with scroll work and lucky horse shoes in silver, the second tier with silver cornocupias, and the third with silver lovers' knots. Each tier had a slightly different decoration in iced scroll work, the whole blending in a most artistic effect and surmounted by a model of a church tower complete with bell and white heather. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. B. McKenzie, Messrs. IC. Cameron, D. P. Cameron, D. C. Cameron, and G. Cameron, of Gisborne . Miss Fraser of Gisborne. Mr. and Mrs. Trafford, of Matawai. Mr. and Mrs. W. Burrett, Mr. and Mrs. C. Gordon, T. Brae, J. D. Clarke, T. H. Pearson, G. Vanstone, K. Irvine, J. Sinclair, Dr. and Mrs. Budd, Mr. Forbes, Mrs. Sacks, of Hamilton, Miss J. Todd, Miss E. Fleming, Miss N. Abbott, Messrs. H. Hawkins, C. Black, L. Carruthers, and A. Bunkall. The bride travelled in a brown flecked tweed frock, brown face cloth coat, and small tricorne hat to tone. The happy couple left on Saturday afternoon for Rotorua where they will spend they honeymoon.
