Rec. June 14, 7.10 p.m. LONDON, Tuesday. News has been received that Professor John W. Gregory was drowned in the Ucazili River, Nort Peru, while leading an expedition to study -volcanic movement. Newspapers pay tribute to his scientific attainments and his exploration of Australia.
