STATEMENT EXPECTED
RUGBY, Tuesday. Mr. J. H. Thomas, Secretary of State fqr the Dominions, questioned in the 'House o'f Commons as to wliether in view of the result of the recent conversations with members of the Irish Free State Government, it was now proposed to conduct further negotiations in preparatioh for Ottawa, said he had riothing to add to the official commuhique issued last; Ffiday, except that he understood it; was likely a further communication! would be received from the Rresid-^ ent of the Executive of the Gounqil of the Irish Free State (Mr. de Valera) after he had had an opportunity for discussion with his colleagues.
