JUBILANT CHORUS
"AN END TO THE TYRANNY OF THE TRADES HALL" MR. LANG'S DEPARTURE The defeat of Mr. Lang has been heralded by triumphant jubilation m the Australian pness, with a background of austere congratulation from the great English dailies. Mr. Lang alone predicts disastrous consequences from his departurei, and attributes h'is downfall to the "poisonous propaganda" of the metropolitan press which has hoodwinked the people and led them to disaster. The final counting has left the position practically unaltered, although if anything, it has strengthened the "position of the anti-L&bour forces.
