LONDON, Saturday. Sarazen, who led the field throughout, thoroughly deserved his victory. He played with the confidence of a champion. A remarkable feature was that only once.in four rounds over a nearly 7000-yards course did he take the wood, for his second, and never ,used a No. 1 iron. His driving wqs jherculoan and' his putting phenom- ) enal. Havers' 68 was a record for the 'course and the best in the whole 'championship, hut he could not stay tjie distance when he went out for t{ie fourth round, knowing that he heedecl 69 to win.
