PADDY'S MARKET

AID FOR ST. MARY'S CHURCH The Paddy's Market held in aid of St. Mary's Church was very successful, the takings amounting to £21. The following prizes w^re given for competition, the winners name appearing in brackets in each case:— Box of chocolates given by Mrs. Quirk (Mrs. Forbes) ; a dinner, Connor Bros. (Miss N. Hickey) ; a cake, Mrs. Lowe (Miss Hanfling, Miss Rouch and Mrs. Neil) ; a turkey, Miss Reid (Mrs. E. White) ; a goose, Mrs. A. McDonald (Father Brady) ; side of bacon, Mrs. Rau (Mr. McGuire). The ladies responsible for afternoon tea were Mesdames Parkinson, Mulhern and Hennessey. Stalls were conducted as follows: — Sweets, Miss M. Reid, Miss O. Parkinson, Miss E. Lowe; produce, Mrs. C. Pipe, Mrs. Russel; cakes, Mrs. Lowe, Miss Wells and Miss Carroll; jumble, Mrs. Burnett.
