ROTORUA SUB-UNION APPRECIATION OF SUPPORT EXPRESSED BY TAUPO BODY. UNPUN CTUAL TEAMS. Mr. T. Anderson reported at M011day night's meeting of the executive of the Rotorua Rugby sub-Union that certain spectators watching the matches at Arawa Park 011 Saturday had used some disgusting language in reference to the Whaka-Rotoiti game. He pointed out that such offenders were liable to be warned 6ff the ground as undesirables. Such action had been taken in similar cases last season. A mesage was received from Mr. J . Loughlin, presi'dent of the Taupo subunion, through Mr. Leslie Clai'lce, expressing that body's appreciation of the Rotorua sub-union's support, and stating that Taupo would suppori Rotorua in any of its future. activitiea. Mr. Loughlin also reported thai the gate for the representative fixture. against Rotorua at Taupo had amounted to £5 18s, which sum had been allocated to the unemployed workers' relief in the Taupo area. Seating Accommodation. Mr. R. G. Webb congratulated the union on the improvement in the football grounds at Arawa Park through the addition of seating accommodation. Mr. Webb added that it was now a pleasure to attend the matches. The matter of badges for the union officials was deferred until a later date. Late Starting Mr. L. Clarke said that the ref erees were still complaining that the senior teams took the field late. They wem never ready to commence play before 3.15 p.m., always taking advantage of the fifteen minutes grace allowed. It was decided that, in order to obviate this delay, senior games would in future commence at 2.45 p.m. this would ensure that the senior games started not later than 3 p.m. The secretary, Mr. W. Henderson, reported on the position of the senior tcams, as at the conclusion of the first round of the competitionFollowing are the championsliip points gained by each club: — Whaka, 10; Kahukura, 6; Waikite, 7 ^Rotoiti, 3; Ngongotaha, 4; Hikuwai, 0.
