SYMPATHY WITH NORTHERNERS

WESPORT, Tuesday. The Denniston and Millerton- collieries are idle to-day in sympathy with the northern miners.- . At a meeting at Denniston last night it was decided that no work be done until the owners? proposals are withdrawn or- substantially modified. The position is similar at Millerton1. - The Stockton Union held a meeting to-day. The decision is not known, but it is expected to fall in line with the others. *
