WESTPORT, Tuesday. At Denniston the electric light is off to-night owing to the powerhouse not working, its staff, who are members of the union having been called out. It is "understood that orders have been ' given to the permanent staff at Denniston to take out the horses and run the power house to-morrow in order to start the pumps and strip the ropes of the pumps. Approximately 1050 men are affected at mines which are capahle- of producing 12,000 tons weekly. There are approximately 100 men working in co-operative mines capahle of 2500 tons weekly.
