RUGBY, Thursday. The King has appointed the Prince of Wales to be honorary Air Commo-dore-in-Chief of the Auxiliary Air Force. His\Majesty has also approved of the promotion -of the Duke of York from the rank of captain to that of reap-admiral lin the Royal Navy; from group captain to air-vice marshal in the Royal Air Force, and to the rank of Major-General in the Army. Sir Samuel Hoare and Sir Philip Sassoon have been appointed honorary air commodores in the Auxiliary Air Force.
