WANGANUI, Thursday. A 20-seater empty omnibus owned by L. S. Weld, proprietor of the Royal Bus Service, was wrecked by an explosion this evening, when standing outside No. 6 Grey Street, Marton. The roof was blown off, the side blown out and all the windows shattered, but the petrol tank and the engine were undamaged. The terrific force of the explosion left a hole in the ground.
