WEDNESDAY COMPETITION
The Wednesday basketball competition was suceessfully launched this week and some quite good games resulted. Naturally there was a certain rawness about the play of some of the teams, and a lack of co'mbined play, but this will soon disappear as the season progress.es and the players become more accustomed to the game. This competition should prove I just as lceen and interesting as the I Saturday one. The following are the results of ! matches played : — Waratah 20, beat Kowhai 6. Konini 24, beat Ngaio 10. Tui 15, beat Mokoia 6.
