LONDON, Wednesday. In the House of Commons, Mr. Craven-Ellis (Con., Soutbampton) , asked if the Chancellor (Mr. Neville Chamberlain), would consider creating a committee to discuss a scheme dealing with price levels, currency and banking discussions at the Imperial Economic Conference at Ottawa. Major W. E. Elliot, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, replied that the matter was under constant raview by the Chancellor, who was not disposed to act on Mr. Craven-Ellis's suggestion. Mr. Craven-Ellis further asked whether the Government had not considered a monetary policy to submit to the Ottawa Conferexice. * Major Elliot said that it was quite wro'ng to assume this.
