Ex-Servicemen's Sons.
"Now that Floek House is used for = the training of the sons of ex-service | men for farming," said Mr. Hope 1 Gibbons, speaking at a meeting of § the Wanganui Empire V'eterans' As- | sociation, "those ex-servicemen who 1 send their sons there, or can be in- | strumental in sending a boy to the 1 institution, will be doing not only a f service to the boy, but to Flock House | as well." The cost of the training = for eight months was nil, said Mr. | Gibbons. The boys had to pass a se- 1 vere medical test to gain entrance, = and it was no use a boy going there 1 if he did not really mean to become 1 a ■facrmer. Wanganui, said Mr. Gib- § bons, had nominated the first boy to 1 go to Flock House under the new | scheme. When the boys left Flock § House they were treated exactly the | same as the boys from Home had i been treated. =„
