Rec. May 31, 7.30 p.m. SYDNEY, Tuesday. The three year old daughter of the Rev. Noel Cloutt, disappeared on May 10 from Belmore, near Newcastle, since when she had not been traced, and it was generally believed she had heen kidnapped. The child's body was found to-day two miles from her home, in an advanced state of decomposition. 'As recently as Thnrsday last, the father received a letter demanding £250 for the return of his chiid. The letter has been handed over to the police. The police asserted that there were no marks of violence or fou! play. It is presumed that the child became lost in the scrub and died from esposure and starvation. The letter demanding £250 is regarded as a heartless hoax.
