In eight years, it is said, the farm income of the States of Minnesota and the two Dakotas has been raised hy no less than £140,000,000. It all came about by a determined effort to reduee the burden of the depression. And this enormous increase in farm wealth was brought about by a common determxnation to make 'every farm as self-supporting as possible — to produce on the farm practieally all the requirements of the family— to make the farm a living as well as a business.
