GRAND THEATRE
TO-NIGHT There is a very close parallel between the character of the real Charles Farrell and the character which he is portraying on the screen of the Grand Theatre, in "Heartbreak," Fox romance of love triumphant over all obstacles. Madge' Evans is starred with him in the feminine leading role.
In the story Farrell is a young American attached to our embassy in Vienna. He falls in love with a beautiful Austrian countess enacted by Miss Evans. His love is return ed and all seems to he developing to the consummation of an ideal courtship when the convulsions of international conflict Separate the two. Farrell aecidentally is responsible for the death of his sweetheart's brother. He is so sickened by this fatality that he deserts, hut through the ensuing disgrace a friend remains true and his sweetheart keeps him in her heart till they are finally reunited. One can well imagine the same sort of devotion being bestowed on Farrell in real life were he placed in the same circumstances. He is one of the lnost popular members of the whole screen colony. Affable, unassuming loyal, he is as free from professional jealously, as though he had no standing among the stars whatever. Hardie Albright has the featured part of the brother of Miss Evans who falls before Farrell. Paul Cavanagh is an Austrian rival for Miss Evans' hand. John Arledge is the loyal friend. - L
