ALLOTMENT OF PORTFOLIOS DURING ABSENSE OF MINISTERS MR. RANSOM ACTIN G-PREMIER
WELLINGTON, Thurs. It is most likely that .during the absense of the three members of the New Zealand Cabinet at Ottawa, tbe portfolio of finance will be in the hands of the Minister of Education and llndustries and Commenee, the Hon. R. Masters. The Minister of Labour and Internal Affairs, the Hon. Adam Hamilton, will probably take oyer Employment. The Minister of Lands, the Hon. E. A- Ransom, who will he acting Prime Minister, will be alloted Public Works, a portfolio which he has previously held .
