(Press Assn.—

MR. DE YALERA'S METHODS ■ DENQUNCED BY MEMBERS " - "ACT OF POLITICAL PIRACY"

-By Telegraph — Copyrlght.)

LONDON, Wpdnesday. The Irish Freia State Senate was crowded When Mr. Eamonn de Yalera, Prpsident of the Dail, submitted the Oath Remqval Bill. Mr. James Douglas said Mr. de Valera could have based negotiations " on a resolution favouring the abolition of the'oath instead of ehoosing a method which in-jured trade and caused uncertainty. Membership of the British Commonwealth was a safeguard for political freedom. Mr. Sean Mcllroy, who 'escaped with Mr. de Valera from Lincoln gaol, denounced the Bill as an act of political piracy whose authors wanted to scuttle the ship of State. The debate was adjourned until January 5, 1933, which means the shelving of the measure.
