Rec-' May 24, 8.45 p.m. MELBOURNE, Tuesday. Hubert Opperman b'roke the world's cycling 24' hours' record of 634 miles, covering the distance in 16 hoursj 42 minutes, '55 seconds. He also secured the 'world's 12 hour outdoor, the 12 hour indoor 'arid the J8 hour outdoor recoras.' Opperman is still riding. He hopes to complete the 1000 mile ride tonighf.
