Killed by Train.
One animal was killed and cthers injured when the early goods tra'in from Hawera to New Plymouth rair into a mob of 16 cows on the One wahia Road crossing, Te Roti, recently. Fortunately the driver noticed the herd in time to avert what migh* have b'een a more serious accident. but some of the animals were lying across the rails, one being cut to pieces. The train was only slightlj delayed.
