Rec. May 22, 6.50 p.m. LONDON, Saturday. The trish Free State announces that the acceptance of the invitation to the Ottawa Conference still holds good. The Government will be prepared ro commence a discussion with other Gdvernments when its conference preparations are sufficiently advanced. Deelqring that the Ottawa Conference is piimarily a trade affair, transcending political considerations, Mr. de Valera's newspaper ln a leader, challenges Britain to accept the attitude of Mr. J. H. Thomas. The newspaper says that Britain cannot alford to ignore Ireland's annual £50,000,000 purchases. Those wanting to debar the Free State's attendanee will be disappointed. Moreover, the conference wobld fail if economic considerations were subordinated to political prejudices.
