BRIDGE EVENING

Last Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. McDowell were host and hostess at a most enjoyable bridge evening. Mrs. McDowell reeeived her guests wearing a frock of black figure i chiffon velvet and her daughter was in primrose floral taffeta. Progressive bridge was played in the bridge-room, which was artistically decorated with bowls of autumn chrysanthemums. Th's winners of the evening were Miss M. Cooney and 'Mr. G. Marshall. The guests present were: — Mr. and Mrs. R. Potter, Mr. and Mrs. J. Speer, Mr. and Mrs. G. Marshall, Miss 1,1 Coney, Miss J. Pearce, Miss D. Grif ' fiths, Miss V. Holland and Mr. G. McDowell.
