WELLINGTON, Tuesday. At a meeting of the Rural Intermediate Credit Board the Commissioner presented a return of arrears of interest and instalm'ents as at March 31. It was stated that now that the production season has closed a comprehensive view of the accounts shows that the position generally is sound, the number of accounts giving cause for eoneern being small in comparison With the board's total business. It was reported that the board is arranging a conference to he held at Palmerston North on June 14, at which representatives of the Rural Intermediate Credit Association operating in Taranaki, Wanganui^ ManawatUi Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa districts will he present. Consideration was given to the policy to he adopted in respect to insurances over wool and crops where the board holds security over such wool and crops. It was decided that where the board attaches importance to such security it would insist on insurance being effected over the wool from shearing until it leaves the farms and over crops from harvesting until they leave the farms. |
