TWO MEN BROUGHT FROM AUSTRALIA TO FACE THEFT CHARGE

AUCKLAND, Tuesday. Two men arrived in Auckland, under police escort, by the Marama from Sydney this afternoon, and later appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court. The men who were brought from Sydney by Chief-Deteetive Hammond are Reginald Clarence Williams, alias Reader, and Clifford Spencer Dahlin. Both are charged with stealing £1200 from George Montague Poyner, at Whangarei. Accused were remanded to appear at Whangarei on Tuesday. Williams was arrested at Brisbano and Dahlin at Casino in northern New South Wales.
