CALCUTTA, Monday. There have been further riotous scenes in Bombay, where Hindu and - Moslem mobs looted shops and stores, and set fire to dwellings, mosques aiid temples, causing damage aggregating thousands of pounds, despite the presence of strong forces of police, who dispersed the crowds on six occasions by rifle fire. A police order has been issUed banning the publie catrying weapons for a month. The Hindu and Moslem leaders are endeavouring to restore peace. Elaborate police precautions, including trenches, barbed wire, and anned pickets frustrated attempts by supporters of the National Congress to raid the Government salt depot at Wadala (Bombay). Thirty Congress members have been arrested.
