MOKOROA V. TANEATUA WHAKATANE, Monday. Members of tbe Mokoroa and Taneatua Golf Clubs played a match at the Mokoroa links yesterday. Following are the results, Taneatua names being mentioned first: Peebles and Wardlaw lost to Appleby and King 3 and 2. Reid and Moody beat Fogarty and Sloane, 2 up. Anderson and McConnell square with Timbs and Kent. Brooks and McPherson lost to Dewar and Burr, 4 and 3. McDonald and Tebbutt lost to Stewart and Armstrong 3 and 2. Allan and Mitchell beat Coney and Bracken, 4 and 3. Church er and Drought l5st to Smed ley and K. Armstrong, 3 and 2. Eagle and Newman lost to Hanny and Brabant, 3 and 2. Owing to the death of Mrs, Garlick, of Taneatua, the ladies' match was postponed for a fortnight.
