-By Tele.graph-Lcopynght) .
WELLINGTON, Monday. "Before announcing the sentences on the Wellington rioters the Magistrate, Mr Page, briefly reviewed the recent happenings, adding:__ "My opiniop is ' that this -orgy of "vyindow-breaking and looting was not the work of genuina/unemployed, but of a small hand led by members of an organisation of Communists' operating in our midst, whose dbctrine appears to be to foster mob violence alld revolutionary disorder. ' As to the punishment to be imposed there can he only one answer. Those who chose to ally themselve's with the forces of disorder need not expeet lenient treatment in this Cpurt. By our laws, if several people form a common intention to pfosecute ahy unlawful purpose, as, for example, breaking shop windows and stealing goods therefrom, each of them is a party to every offence committed by any of them in the pros-scution of such a common purpose."
