LABOUR DEFEAT DUE TO ABBPGrANCE AND ST1JPIDITY MR. HQGAN'S BITTER CQMMENT

■By Telegraph — Copyright).

Rec. May 16, 7.50 p.ip. LONDON, Sunday. Mr. E. 4- Hogan, Premier of Victoria in a further interview here, said: "The Trades Hall officials who assassinated the Lahour Government and caused the defeat of Labour candidates at the polls, now know what the people think' of their poliey and threats. "The workers are left without adequate- representatipn in Parliament and also know who are responsible for the loss of the Lahour Government. I regret that some good' memhers of the party have heen sacrificed in this way by the Trades Hall despots, j'ust as gladiators were sacrificed by Caligula apd Nero at the Colosseum to make a Roman holiday. "My work, extending over 15 years, in building up the' Labour Party in the country electorates I helped to win, has heen lost to Lahopr hy the arrogance, stup'idity, and disregard of public iiRerest by the Gentral Executive. "The electors have now authorised tRe re-enactment of the Premier's plan, and given a reply to the threat pnblished hy the executive in April to expel those members voting for its re-enactment." Mr. Hogan ha§ not decided when he will return but he is continqing his investigations into the marketing of products an4 the organisation of the Agency-General, upop which he infends to report to the people of Yictoria.
