SIR PHILIP GAME'S ACTION HELD TO BE FULLY CONSTITUTIONAL STOCKS ADVANCE IN LONDON

LONDON, Saturday. No officiai comment is obtainable at the Dominion's Office, but the Australian Press Association has the best authority for saying that highly placed officials hold the opinion that Sir Philip Game throughout acted perfectly constitutionally and in accordance with the powers of his position. Furthermore, he enjoys the full confidence of the British Government. These opinions emphasise the confident asSurance that there was no consultation with Whitehall prior to Mr Lang's dismissal. Sir Philip G&me's action came as a welcome stirprise to financial fcircles. The displaCenient of Mr. Lang had an immediate effect on the Stock Ex--change. Australian stocks advanced all round. Commonwealth 5 per Cents rose £2, and some New South Wales £5. .......
