LONDON, Thursday. On behalf of the Australian and New Zealand Butter Boards, Mr. Boyce, Conservative member of the House of Commons for Gloucester, sent a letter to Mr. J. ii. Thomas, Seeretary of State for the Dominions, outlining the butter position and stating that Continental embargoes and restrictions outweighed the benefits of Britain's 10 per cent preference resulting in enomnous quantities being diverted to the British market, thus depressing prices.
