NEW YORK, Thursday. A New Jersey message states that the infant identified as the Lindbergh baby di'ed of a compound fracture of the skull, according to the autopsy. There was a hole in the skull about the size of a shilling, but no bullet or other missile. It was as though some adult person had held the baby tight'in his arms and had delihsrately hit the infant's head with a hammer for the .purpose of causing instant death. ; A report which has been confirmed, states that the decomposition of the body had progressed to the (poipt where it is surmised that the child Hvas killed almost immediately after heing kidnapped and that the body had been undisturbed since it was left in the brush. i Betty Gow, the baby's nursemaid, has identified the body as that of the baby.
