"I never knew Nev^ Zealand was a manufacturing eountry until I went there" writes Mr. Clement Purhall, in "Manufacturers," an English trade journal, "but I soon discovered that those enterprising Maorilanders are now producing many lines of really splendid quality, including travelling rugs, blankets, many articles of wearing apparel, malt liquors, and some of the finest tobaceo grown in any eountry in the world. As an old smoker myself I w'as keenly interested in this tobaceo, and was privileged to see it being manufactured. Its outstanding merit is that it is practically free from nieotine.
