CH AMPION SHIP GAMES AND OFFICIAL REFEREES FOR TO-MORROW WEDNESDAY COMPETITION. ! The first meeting- of che uewlyappointed. executive of the Rotorua Basketball Association was held this ■week. Mrs. E. G. Guy presided aud also present were Mrs. Managh, Mrs. Shearer, Mrs. Walker, Misses J. Isdale, D. Emeny, D. Davies and the secretary-treasurer, F. Bates. A discussion arose as to how many players each club be allowed to register. It was resolved the limit be 12 for each team. The question was then discussed as to whether the High Sehool 'Old Students' Club be permitted to play a member who bad not attended the school. It was ruled that this was a question for the club itself to decide. Mesdames Guy, Shearer and Walker were appointed official referees and selectors for the representative teams. It was resolved that the first invitation basketball dance be held in the Majestic Ballroom on Wednesday, June 15. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. Shearer for a very generous donation to the Association. Wet Weather. The rnatter of postponement of matches on account of wet weather was left in the hands of the referwr All players are requested to watch the windows of "The Morning Post," Hinemoa Strret, and of the Central Book Shop, Tutanekai St., where notices will be posted advising particulars. A decision will be given not later than 12 o'clock- on the appointsd match days.
