ROAD CYCLING
AMATEUR CLUB'S WINTER PROGRAMME OPENS TO-MORROW. REQUEST TO MOTORISTS. Keen interest is being taken by cyclists in the first road _ race of the* Rotorua Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club, which will take place between Ngongotaha and Arawa Park to-morrow afternoon. The race will be based on times and "sealed" handicaps, and in order to avoid bunching, each rider will leave at one minute intervals, commencing at 2.30 p.m., "from the Ngongotaha football ground. Motorists who will be using the route of the race, set out hereunder, are requested to accord the cyclists very consideration and especially keep a sharp watch out when rounding corners. The race will occupy less than half an hour and the route will be: Rotorua-Cambridge main highway, Old Taupo Road, Malfroy Road, Ranolf Street and Grey Street to the Arawa Park.
