PRICES AT WESTFIELD

AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The New Zealand Loan and MerVjtile Agency Company, Limited, report that at the Westleld sale to-day there was a large yarding of ox beef which made late rates at 13s to I9s per hundred iiounds. A small yarding of" cows and heifers made better value at 10s to 18s per hundred pounds. Prime steers made £4 10s to £7 12s 6d; cows and heifers, £2 to £5. Calves were firmer. Runners made £1 5s to £2 16s; vealers, £1 to £1 16s. Pigs were firm. Baconers made £1 14s to £2 9s and porkers £1 2s to £1 8s. Sheep also were firm, wethers bringing 12s to 17s and ewes 6s to !°s.
