THE WEATHER
The Government meteorologist issued the following weather report and forecast last night: — * General Situation: The recent cyclone has disappeared eastward, and a siight wave of low pressure has been passing in the South; an anticyclone lies to the westward, its centre being over Victoria. Forecast: Winds variable, but moderate to fresh southerlies prevailing. Weather: Mainly fair, b.ut some isolated showers, more espedialfy in ?the eastern and southern distridtfe^ co*5' night temperatures with inland frosts. - F * r - o Following are the barometer,, maximum a'nd minimum thermometer',-and^ rainfall readings recorded bt the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department, for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesteeday: — Barometer .... ...7T 29.687ins.
