NOT CONSIDERED DESIRABLE FORM OF PUBLIC FINANCE GOVERNMENT ATTITUDE
WELLINGTON, Monday. In the Legislative Council to-day, in reply to a question by the Hon. G. W. H. Mclntyre (Nelson), the Minister of Education, the Hon. R." Masters, said that art unions are not encouraged for taxation or revenue purposes as this form of public finance is considered unsound. The mat^ ter of issuing further permits is at present under consideration by the Government.
