MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report : — At Morrinsville sale on Friday last we penned an average yarding of sheep and cattle. Prices for sheep were firm at late rates and cattle of all elasses were sold at equal to Frankton quotations. There was a smaller yarding of fat and store pigs. Prices for fats were on a par with , last sale, while weaners showed an improvement. Quotations. — Sheep : Fat wethers to 15s; fat ewes, 6s to 7s 6d; fat lambs, 13s to 15s; light fat lambs, 10s to 12s; store wethers, 10s ld to ils; store ewes, 2s to 3s 4d; store lambs, 4s to 8s; 4-tooth to 5-year ewes, r.w.r., 7s. Cattle: Fat steers, £3 to £3 19s; fat heifers and cows, £3 3s to £3 13s; fat cows, heavy £4; medium fat cows, £1 14s to £2 9s; killable cows, £1 4s to £1 10s; fresh store cows, 18s to £1 2s; boners, 6s to 14s; potter bulls, £1 to £2 10s; 2-year heifers, r.w.b., £2 to £3; Jersey heifer calves, £1 6s; poorer sorts, 10s to 17s 6d; yearling Shorthorn steers, £1 ls. Pigs: Choppers, £1 2s to £1 4s; heavy baconers, 37s to £2; light baconers, 28s to 31s; heavy porkers, 22s to 26s; medium porkers, 18s to 21s; light and unfinished porkers, 12s to 17s; stores, ;9s 6d to 11s 6d; slips, 6s 6d to 8s 6d; weaners, 5s to 7s 6d.
