LOS ANGELES, Saturday Annoyed by a woman next door for mowing her lawn, Mrs. Ella Thompson fired at her. Then, when the poliee arrived she shot a policeman dead through a glass door, saying he had no warrant. Mrs. Thompson then engaged 30 police in a revolver battle for two hours, till they smoked her out with tear gas bombs. Mrs. Thompson emerged, firing right and left, and finally fell dead to an offieer's bullet.
