WELLINGTON, Wednesday. An application was reeeived by the New JZealand Rugby Union to-night from the Rotorua Sub-union for pepmission to secede from the Bay of Plenty IJnion and to affiliate with the Waikato Union, Mr. S. S. Dean said that before the application could be considiered, jt would be necessary to have a recommendation from the Bay of Plenty Union. Therefore, eonsideration would have to be jostponed.
