GOVERNMENT CONVOKES DIET PREPARATORY TO RESIGNING NAZIS APPROACH CATHOLICS
-By Telegraph — Copyrlght.)
Rec. April 27, 8 p.m. (Times Cable) LONDON, Wednes. The Times Berlin correspondent states that the Prussian Cabinet has decided to resign, in readipess for which it has convoked the Diet for May 24. It is said that the Nazis have already approached the Catholic Centre Party whose leader, Dr. Kaas, will undoubtedly act in consulation with the Chancellor, Dr. Bruening, who is also a member of the Centre Party, which views with importance the effeet of Prussian events on the Reich. It is unlikely that anything will be allowed to disturb the firm guidance of German policy or to cause Dr. Bruening to relinquish the command of national affairs. Notably, the Centre Party will oppose the tendency to establish a Party dictatorship.
